SportsGauge FAQ
Umpire & referee feedback software
What is SportsGauge?
SportsGauge helps sports & officiating groups deliver quality feedback, strengthen coaching, and improve retention.
Who is SportsGauge for?
Umpire & referee managers, officiating coaches, observers, mentors and sports leagues who want to develop and retain officials from grassroots to the elite level.
How does SportsGauge work?
Observers record feedback during the game or afterwards. Managers can review it and add coaching notes before it's sent to the umpire or referee. SportsGauge keeps every observation in one place, making it easy to see each official's strengths and areas for improvement, track progress over time, and bring it all together in a season review. Coaches can also spot trends across the group to see where more support is needed.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. It works on any device, so observers can submit feedback from the sideline or after the game.
Can the feedback forms be tailored to our sport?
Yes. Forms can be tailored to your sport and to different levels of experience and accreditation.
Can managers check feedback before officials see it?
Yes. An optional review step lets managers approve feedback and add coaching context before it’s delivered.
How do officials receive their feedback?
By email, straight after it’s approved, in a consistent, mobile-friendly format.
Is SportsGauge suitable for officials under 18?
Yes, feedback delivered to officials under 18 is copied to a parent or guardian.
What reporting is available?
Individual umpire/referee performance, observer activity and variability, observation count, feedback history, group performance statistics, scoring and rankings.
How much does SportsGauge cost?
SportsGauge has three plans: Starter, Development and Growth. Pricing depends on the plan and the size of your group. Book a demo and we’ll give you a quote.
